Email list subscriptions can be altered on the forum by members subscribing or unsubscribing from a topic.
Various Functions are listed below which help provide or alter information, In order to keep a check on use and help maintain accurate information the access is limited to certain committee members.
You therefore need to access the forum and logon before you can access some of the below
1. Change membership status from member to non-member
The purpose of the above is to add or remove members from the current members list, people or call signs which are listed in this section will be described as members, guests ie. non members or will have a specific role. The treasurer at his discretion can add or remove members by clicking on the callsign. Note people can use a name here if they are short wave listeners.
2.Show Mailing list subscriptions
The purpose of this screen is to assist in tracing non-delivery of mail, users need to subscribe to forums before mail is delivered from any posts, they can choose to unsubscribe or subscribe themselves but it is intended that members will generally be subscribed to receive new topics in Equipment For Sale, Members Chat and Announcements and contests. Running the script automatically subscribes new members who have been set to members in (1) above and gives them permission to view members only sections.
3. View and Change email addresses
From time to time members change there addresses. This facilty allows the secretary or the webmaster to view and if necessary change an email address, where possible it is recommended that members change there own address but it should be accepted that this may not always be the most convenient method.
